It’s natural to want to reach as wide an audience as possible, but resist the urge to cover too many different topics. Jumping around from topic to topic can possibly cause readers to become disengaged. Define your key areas, and focus your topics on your specific areas of expertise.

Posting often can help get you noticed with the search engines, and bring you more readers. However, if your posts lack quality, you will lose those readers can quickly as you got them. Find a good balance between frequency and quality content for the best results.

Readers are selfish beings. They want to be taught, informed and entertained. While blogging may have been born as an outlet for people to log their every thought, business blogging does not care what you are thinking. When you write your blog posts, you must write for your audience. If it’s not of value for your readers, they’re not going to read it.
